Golden Globes

You've probably seen all the coverage of the Golden Globes awards, but I thought I'd select my favourite dresses. I think Leighton Meester looked best in Burberry Prorsom, she always wears something a bit different and experiments which is so good to see! ( And is inspiration for me to keep trying to add a bit more of an edge to my personal style!)

Leighton Meester looks so stunning in Burberry Prorsum, I also love how she managed to use subtle pattern well on the red carpet, most people opt for plain.
I wasn't too keen on this dress which was custom made by Armani Prive for Megan Fox, but I love the illustration - it really exudes Megan Fox!

Scarlett Johansen in Elie Saab. You can never go wrong in Elie Saab. Ever. I love it!

I never really look out for Jennifer Lopez, but her dress by Zuhair Murad is so delicate and feminine, I really love the embellished soft shoulder cape, and altogher makes her look so gentle which is a refreshing look.

I think I can honestly say, being a person who would usually steer clear of red satin-y dresses, after seeing January Jones in Versace, I may have just been converted to absolutely loving them. She looks amaaaayzing!

Helen Mirren in Badgley Mischka. Its a dress which I think is perfect for her age, yet would look lovely on a twenty-something woman too.

Emma Stone in Calvin Klein. I very much like the colour and simplicity. Calvin Klein are my favorite for simple elegance.

Anne Hathaway in Armani Prive. The long sleeves with the long length elongates her and gives her a lovely posture, although all those sequins must have made the dress very heavy!

Your Sacrifice

I took these photos for part of my final fashion image peice, with my friend modeling for me as she did in the photos below. My work was about Religion, specifically Jesus and the crucifixion. Being a Catholic I know the story of the crucifixion but I never looked at it through Jesus's eyes, so these photos are relating to him sacrificing himself for us, and us sacrificing ourselves to religion to 'pay him back' as such. Hope you like the photos!

Photography

For the Fashion Image pathway on my art course at uni we
had to work with an old jacket and work around it in our books, before creating an editorial style photoshoot with it...
I had a tweedy / bouclé style jacket, and the texture and colour of it reminded me of the woodland floor with leaves and debris etc, so I took my photoshoot
is if to say that the jacket has become part of the woodland floor, hence my model having to be stuck to the floor with it. Hope you like the photos!

We're back!

Hi everyone! Hi lovely new followers!
After a lovely summer of being INCREDIBLY lazy regarding blogging Megan and I are ready to blog again!

Here's my first bit of exiting news for anyone whos coming to London or is in London, and LOVES shoes...

Manolo Blahnik has come to Liberty's Of London...
For 3 and a half months there will be a special collection of Manolo's designed in various Liberty prints which you can buy from Liberty, or more realisticly, browse around in Liberty's haha!
Everyone seems to go absolutely crazy for Manolo shoes so if your one of those people it should be pretty cool to see this...
(Liberty, Great Marlborough Street, London W1B 5AH)
AND
Selfridges on Oxford Street, London, have opened a new shoe department which is supposed to be bigger than the ground floor of the Tate Modern! For people who don't know the Tate Modern, basically this is HUGE! Apparently there's tons of designer shoe brands including Givenchy, Chloé, Stella McCartney, Topshop (YES!) and more. So grab your richest friend and head down there!
