Snow White

There's nothing more comforting than being inside, watching snow fall and settle, it's amazing to think how the landscape changes before your eyes. Only two weeks ago the whole river area was completely flooded and the ducks were having the time of their lives. Now the dogs are having fun running in the snow, as the ducks shelter amongst the low river branches. I threw a snowball at some geese and the poor things thought it was bread, but they don't need humans to survive so they will be fine.

Valentino Illustrations

 Illustrations I have done for a project on Valentino's Spring Summer 13 rtw collection!

These are part of a series which fit together as an Illustrative lookbook based on the Valentino collection, heres a little background story about it....

Rome, the city which Vakentino calls home holds many memories for Valentino Garavani himself and Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli, the current creative directors since 2008. The spring summer's Valentino girls took a more tender and modest dress. They exuded a soft elegance through clean cut slip dresses, minimal decoration and tone-on-tone embellishments. But always natural. Blush beiges and deep navy's and blacks were the colour of choice. They came from the neo-realism films, looking forward to change with beautiful shrubbery waiting to cover their skin. The Roman temples are where you'll find the Valentino girls, waiting amongst the overgrowing wild shrubbery, always looking ahead.

Quick Drawings

Some quick sketches from class of my friend wearing lacey bits of fabric inspired by Valentino, and others fashioning the hats from the dressing up box at lcf, plus my rather weird scribbles at the top. I just love drawing little characters walking animals! The top guy is called Francois and he his taking Porky, his pig, on a walk.
